The Winter Peace Assembly was a huge success. The children were stellar—from Charlie Brown to Madonna. And the turn out was spectacular. We sure know how to pack the house. Thanks to all the staff, volunteers and of course the children who worked so hard to make last night a memorable event. The themes were really thoughtful and the trains and trees and other visuals really well executed. Thanks to Heather and Libby for making the Read-a-thon a great success. Last month our school was captivated by a visit from Expedition Impossibles’ winning team The Modern Gypsies. (John Post, Eric Bach, Taylor Filasky) ABC’s Expedition Impossible followed 13 teams across Morocco in an Indiana Jones style race. The winning team spoke at Harvey Milk about what it took for them not only to be chosen to be on the show, but the kind of teamwork and skills it took to win the race.
