A lot of us have been there during the first week of Kindergarten with a clingy crying child or watching other clingy crying children. Here are a few stories for Kindergarten parents/guardians from some of us who’ve been there. We promise it gets easier. New Gardens Under Construction!
August 12th, 2011

Harvey Milk Day 2011
May 18th, 2011
The Safe Schools Coalition has created a list of suggested curricula and resources for recognizing Harvey Milk Day in elementary schools including how to use Harvey Milk as an example to discuss nonviolent activism. As Our Family Coalition wrote in a recent email, “By giving voice to our champions for equality, we are providing wonderful role models for our kids to look up to.” On Thursday, May 18, 2011, our school will present its annual Civil Rights Assembly at 6pm. On Saturday, May 21, 2011, the Cruisin’ the Castro tour from 10am-Noon will donate 50% of the tour proceeds to… Read More…
Crazy Hat Day at Harvey Milk!
May 11th, 2011
This week is spirit week at HMCRA, and yesterday was crazy hat day. There were many fuzzy things perched on students’ and teachers’ heads, including animals, cowboy hats, baseball hats, a supersize hamburger, a giant jester hat, a shoebox hat and, instead of a rooftop garden, a headtop garden. Thanks for all the spirit everyone! Bookmark on DeliciousRecommend on FacebookTweet about itTell a friend
