Don’t forget to bring a few extra dollars for our Bake Sale!  All the goodies have been donated by a local chef who supports the school. Look for gourmet cupcake flavors like Chocolate Stout and Meyer Lemon, a variety of delicious cookies and more! Need some Valentine’s Day treats for your Sweetie?  We’ll have packages of decadent Chocolate Truffles for sale as well!

join us on Saturday Feb 11 2012, 10am till 3pm-ish, as we lay wood paving in the outdoor classroom behind the bungalow. we’ll till the ground, dig a little, lay landscaping cloth and sand, de-bark the redwood slices, and then arrange them as we please.

there will also be some general schoolyard grooming and playing happening, so all ages and talents are welcome, the more the merrier!

as a courtesy to our neighbours, we’d like to mention that we’ll be using a tiller, most likely between 10am and 12pm. it shouldn’t be nearly as loud or long as the chainsaw or powerwasher! we appreciate your patience during our building phase.

Thanks to all the staff,  volunteers and of course the children who worked so hard to make last night a memorable event. The themes were really thoughtful and the trains and trees and other visuals really well executed.

Thanks to Heather and Libby for making the Read-a-thon a great success. And thanks to Sarah and her volunteers for running the Book Fair. We can’t grow successful readers without books.

Thanks to Betty for working with me to get the sweatshirts ready to sell last night. They turned out great. Kestler was so excited he slept in his last night. Many parents were interested in adult sizes so let’s buy up the youth inventory so we’ll have cash to order more in the new year.  Thanks to Michelangelo for the great logo. They truly highlight our pride.

And a final thanks to Amanda, Lisa and Jasmine for hosting a winter camp to help working families and those who just need time to get ready for the holidays. I thought Kestler would want a change of scenery but he loves the comfort of our community. I couldn’t ask for a better holiday gift.
