We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Amazon Associates program work? It’s easy! Customers simply click one of our Amazon links and shop as usual. When customers click through those links and buy products from Amazon, Associates can earn up to 10% in referral fees. Customers won’t see anything that shows that Harvey Milk Parent Faculty Club may earn referral fees from their purchases. Referral fees are an important part of our annual fundraising.
What items will earn referral fees? Only items that are sold or fulfilled by Amazon and placed in your shopping cart after clicking our Amazon link will be eligible to earn referral fees. Conversely, the following items will not earn referral fees: 1) Items sold by a third-party vendor and not fulfilled by Amazon, 2) Items already in your shopping cart, or 3) Items in the “Saved for later” portion of your shopping cart. Also, at the completion of your purchase, we recommend closing the shopping window and starting any new shopping session at Amazon with a new click through our Amazon link.
Can this be combined with AmazonSmile?
Yes! AmazonSmile is a separate program where Amazon donates 0.5% of purchases to charities designated by shoppers. Harvey Milk Parent Faculty Club is also a part of the AmazonSmile program, and customers can choose us as their recipient charity–even when shopping through the Associates program. To combine both programs (Associates and Smile), start your Amazon shopping at https://smile.amazon.com/?tag=hmpfc-20 and this will maximize your support of our school! When prompted to choose your Smile charity, select “Harvey Milk Parent Faculty Club.”
Do products cost more when customers start shopping by clicking on Harvey Milk PFC’s links? Are there hidden fees?
No, there is no added cost to shoppers who click on our Amazon links. The prices and shopping process are exactly the same as they would be if they started at Amazon.com.
Does this work with Amazon mobile apps? No, not at this time. However, customers can click on our Amazon links from phone and tablet browsers as well as computers.
Who can click on these links? Anyone can start their shopping at Amazon by clicking on our Amazon links.
